Can I Coach Myself ?
I Can Do Self-Discovery By Myself, Can't I ?
Motivation ----- A very integral part of the self-discovery process and success coaching in general, is focused upon revealing your own motivational cues; things that will get you to execute and take action. These cues will be relied upon time and again in varying ways depending upon the goal. Neurolinguistic Programming is a technique reservior that many coaches draw upon to help clients tap into these cues instantly. Once you have experienced these motivational sessions, you will be more aware of what actually gets you going and what will keep you moving ahead.
Encourages Resourcefulness
Your connections to the world are important. Don't be fooled by the term "SELF-discovery." It is not totally self-focused. Your coach will help you explore how the differing connections and relationships are affecting your life plan. The aim is to encourage and broaden your support system, whether for business, personal or purely social reasons. You will become more resourceful and balanced thereby. Other people are required in order to realize successful outcomes.
Feedback/Moral Support--- A typical success coaching session usually begins with self-evaluation. This is where you will openly discuss actions taken/not taken and your results. Depending upon your experiences, you will either decide to continue with your present program or change something. You will explore your options. Next, you may explain any pressing issues; problems or uncomfortable situations and then finally you will receive your next call to action. It will seem as though you are simply having a conversation about yourself, but a whole lot is taking place. You will constantly receive a mountain of support and feedback.
Accountability ---- If you're serious about change, then you will need to be held accountable for actions being taken, or not being taken. This is especially true when past performance has been previously difficult or non-existent, and also if you are trying to interrupt patterns of behavior that you deem as limiting in nature. Success coaches are by and large very focused on the process; what you're doing to attain the results you're getting as well as guiding you to a place where you can determine for yourself whether your process is effective. Many people do not want to face the reality of outcomes that are contrary to what they want. Objectivity is important to accomplishing your goals.
Reflection ---- Your personal success coach will "mirror" you, that is they will reflect yourself back to you so that you can actually see yourself or your thought processes. Many people are shocked when they see themselves in a new way. A revelation is attained and many experience very useful breakthoughs. As a result, more is accomplished much faster than going it alone.
